Monitoring Results on Marine Litter Surveys in the NOWPAP Region, 2009

The table shows marine litter monitoring results for Japan in 2009. The marine litter collected was sorted into 8 categories: plastic, rubber, formed styrene (polystyrene), paper, cloth, glass/ceramic, metals and other artificial objects. There are two sheets, one is marine litter in number of pieces (Sheet 1) and the other is marine litter in weight (Sheet 2).

In the left of the sheet, the weights in different categories as well as the total weight of marine litter found in every particular sample area are listed. In the right of the sheet, the marine litter weights are calculated per 100 square meters.
